About the Founder : Dr. Claire Park
The Vision Behind the Smile
Dr. Claire Park is a dentist, mother, and educator dedicated to changing the conversation around children’s oral health. Since beginning her dental journey in South Korea in 1995, she has always believed that a visit to the dentist should be a source of comfort rather than anxiety. Today, she brings that same gentle, visionary approach to her work in Canada, focusing on the future of preventative care.
The Power of the Oral Microbiome
Through years of clinical practice, Dr. Park discovered that a healthy smile is about much more than just strong teeth. It is about balance. She recognized that the mouth is a living ecosystem - a gateway to our overall well-being. This led her to focus on the oral microbiome: the community of "tiny friends" that live in our mouths and protect our health.
Dr. Park believes that when we understand our microbiome, we can move beyond simple "repair" and toward true "prevention."
The Birth of Prebiotic Smile Tales
Driven by her experience as a mother and a dentist, Dr. Park founded Prebiotic Smile Tales to make the science of oral health accessible and fun. She realized that if children learn to care for their "prebiotic friends" early on, they develop a natural instinct for health that lasts a lifetime.
"My mission is to help children see their mouths as a garden to be nurtured. Through stories and creativity, we teach them that brushing, flossing, and healthy eating are all about supporting their prebiotic allies."
Beyond the Dental Chair
Through engaging adventures with Happy Tooth and interactive activities, Dr. Park empowers children to take charge of their oral health through awareness and joy. Prebiotic Smile Tales isn't just about teaching kids how to brush; it’s about inspiring them to build a bright, healthy microbiome for a lifetime of happy smiles.
